Our birthday girl is...

I got a little carried away with this post.
I started looking at pictures of her when she was little
and I just wanted to add them all.
Here are alot of pictures of our little 6 year old!

Wow, that was a lot of pictures.
Kenzi is such a sweet little girl!
I can't believe that she is already 6.
Time goes by so fast when they are little.
I always have to do a little list, so here it is...
  • she LOVES to sleep
  • loves waffles
  • wishes she lived on a farm..she LOVES animals
  • she won't eat or sleep until she has said prayers
  • she is very quiet
  • she loves to play pretend
  • she doesn't like mac'n cheese
  • she loves to draw and write
  • she can totally hang with her brothers
  • she loves shoes
  • she is a mommy's girl
  • she likes homework
  • she loves hugs
  • she is a tomboy but is super girly at the same time
  • loves skirts

When she was born Kyron tried to call her his little strawberry shortcake, but it came out panberry cake. So ever since her nickname went from panberry cake, to KBear, to panbear and finally to Bear. When Luke was in Georgia she would tell him, "I love you past heaven."We are so lucky to have her in our home. What would we do without her!

We love you past heaven Bear!

2 month check-up

A little update on Jetter!
We went in today for the wonderful 2 month check-up and shots.
I must say that I do good on these check-ups until they turn one.
Then I get them all immunized for school, but until then, really?
She has grown...a little.

7lbs. 10 oz.
203/4 inches
She is in the 5th percentile on both.
The Doc said "she is growing, not rapidly but she is."

I hate that they have to get shots but when you have so many kids it gets easier.
She was tough and only cried for a few seconds.

Yay, now we can pierce her ears!
I know it's sad but I love little pierced ears.

Fun with flour

Kooper was in the pantry the other day rearranging the cans.
No big deal, right?
Until I found him actually doing this....

I tell myself it could have been worse.
He could of added water to the mess!

I caught him before he had dumped the entire bag out!
Obviously he was having a great time,
look at the smile:)
(it was kind of a whoops I got caught smile)
Cleaning up flour was not in my plans for the day.
I guess I better keep a better watch on what
this monkey is really doing!

Pumpkins and Gourds

I finally got these cute little pumpkins finished. I think I made like 15. A few too many, I realized as I was in the middle of sewing them. My kids were ecstatic to say the least, because we don't have ANY decorations in our house. They are still in the boxes in the garage until we figure out what we are going to do and where we are going to really be living.
So to have some sort of decoration is just so exciting to them.
(how sad is that) So I told them that they could put them wherever they wanted too!

I did a few Halloween ones while I was at it!

Then for FHE the kids wanted to paint these gourds that
Kenzi found for all of them.
As you can see Kali didn't get around to painting hers.
I always think that it is going to be such a fun time,
then when we are in the middle
of it I wonder what I was thinking!

What a mess paint is!
Not only were the kids a mess, so was the kitchen and the sink.
Don't forget the bathtub because
there was no other way to get all of this paint
off him!
They had a blast and that is all that matters!
Good thing I made them take their shirts off,
that could have been ugly!

What the....

After church the boys asked if they could wrestle/play football inside so I said, "whatever but if either one of you cries or is mean you are done and you don't get to play anymore." So a few minutes into it I hear Kyron crying pretty hard. I walk in to tell them that they are done and this is what I find! So Kason tells him sorry for slamming him into the tile floor (yes they were playing right by the tile). Then Kason gets a good look at him and he says, "WHAT THE..." Then Kyron says "What?" So before he looks in the mirror I told him just remember that it isn't going to stay like this. So he looks in the mirror and he says, "WHAT THE...!"

He wasn't too happy about me taking a picture because he knew I was going to blog it (hehe). I guess he knew that I needed something to blog about. He is worried that he is going to look like this forever. It does look painful. I guess boys will be boys and I am sure that it will happen again soon enough.

This is a SUPER LoNg story so feel free to read or skip on through!

So a few weeks ago I got a phone call from the school nurse. She said that she had Kason in her office because he had been stung by 3 wasps. At first I kinda laughed because first of all for anyone who knows my kids, Kason would be the one to get stung and second 3 wasps, not one or two but three. So I asked if he was ok and she said yes, she just wanted to know if he had ever been stung or if he was allergic. I told her he had been stung by a bumble bee before and he was fine. So she went ahead and put some kind of cream on him and sent him back to class. When he got home from school I checked out the one on his arm but didn't even look at the ones on his legs because he had pants on. The one on his arm looked fine. He said he was good and ran to his room to get dressed for football. While we were at practice he ran off the field crying HARD telling me that he couldn't breath. So I hurried and took off his helmet and loosened his shoulder pads. My first thought was that he was allergic and that his throat was swelling. I really didn't know what to do. I gave him a drink and told him to sit down. I checked his throat, not that I could probably see anything anyway. After he calmed down and stopped crying he said that he was fine and ran back out to play. I was super worried because he doesn't ever complain about anything so when he does there is usually something really wrong. We watched him close that night and all seemed fine. Then the next day is when we went camping for our family reunion. Well Kooper was sitting on an old stump when all of the sudden he started running crying and moving his arms around really funny. We took his shirt off and he had been stung 6 times by some stupid bees! Poor guy. He was crying and complaining. When he was trying to tell us what happened (since we can't understand much of what he says) we just kept hearing him say bbbzzzzzzz! So all night he would tell us bbbzzzzzzzz! So we got some benadryl down him right away. Later that night we were sitting around the camp fire and I just happened to look at Kasons ankles and they were HUGE! It looked like he had a muscle disorder or elephantitis or something bad! I could not quit staring at them and at the same time feeling like the worst Mom in the world. I still can't believe that I didn't notice before then. They looked so painful and they were red and swollen. It was awful. So I gave him some benadryl (better late then never, right?). Obviously he was allergic. So that night my Dad and Luke poored diesel all over the stump. So the stump burnt and burnt for days. If all that wasn't enough on the last day Kooper was stung 2 more times! So 8 times total for him! So again he would complain about the bbbzzzzzzz! They had the worst luck. Those two were just targets. So anyway, last night I was cooking dinner and Kooper was in his room getting a bunch of trucks to haul outside. I could hear our neighbor weed eating and didn't think a thing about it. Kooper opened the door and walked out on the porch. He just stood there for a short second. All of the sudden he dropped his trucks, started shaking and crying. He turned and tried to run in the house. He tripped and couldn't get to me fast enough. When I finally picked him up I said what's the matter? All he could say was bbbzzzzzz bbzzzzzzz bbbzzzzzz! I had to laugh and show him the man next door weed eating. He seriously thought that bees were coming to get him. My poor little boys. Now I know that Kason is allergic and I will definitely be checking all of his bites next time. That was a long story but just wanted to remember it!

Where's Kason?

A few weekends ago the kids had a big football jamboree.
It was 90 miles away.
We had to be there by 8:30, which meant us leaving by 7am!
A little tough but we did.
I didn't realize how big of a deal it was until we actually got there.
There were 5 towns, 30 football teams and a TON of little cheerleaders.
They had 3- 30 minute scrimmages each.
Kyron plays for the Packers and Kason for the Vikings.
Kenzi is a cheerleader for the Vikings (super cute).

It was 100 degrees out,
People Everywhere,
Limited parking,
No shade and they played at 2 different fields!
My parents and Lukes parents made the trip to watch.
So between all of us we ran back and forth between fields
for a few HOT hours.
Kenzi complained a lot about how hot she was.
I had to go to the car every few hours in the A/C to feed Kali.
Kooper had super red checks and took a short nap in the hot sun.
Overall it was a great time.
We love to watch the boys.
It is so fun to see how much they grow each year.
Between all the running that day I didn't even get one
picture of Kason up close.
This is it...he's out there somewhere!
I'm blaming it on the madness of the day!

He did score 2 touchdowns and had some great blocks!

Kyron did great also.
Look at him posing for a picture real quick!

Kali was the best girl ever.
She just sat in her car seat all day sleeping.
It was cooler and shadier in there then out like us.
At the end of the day we were all so tired and ready to head home!
I asked the boys if they were hot and tired and they said,
"no, this was the funnest day ever!"

I had to smile because I forget how
it is to be small and how days like this are the funnest ever!

Do you think he is tired?

Right around nap time the last few days I tell Kooper lets get ready for a nap!
He says....nnooooo!
A few minutes later I find him like this.
I love how he snuck Cheetos into watch t.v.
Look at his hands! He was so tired that he didn't even make it all the way IN the chair.
Again...more snacks.....aarrrgghhhh!
I don't like my kids to eat out of the kitchen.
I guess the 4th child gets away with alot more,
but I still don't like it.

But he looks so sweet!
This is the age that I LoVe!
I wish I could bottle him up and keep him little forever.

i do have other kids:)
