I've been busy

This post is a little old, but I am going to post it anyway.

My computer was down for the last week and it is so sad that I feel so disconnected to the outside world. Luke finally got it up and running (thank you). This time of year is always busy crazy and so much fun. A little news some of you already know, we are moving. Yes, again. We are heading back to Eagar. This has really been a blessing to us in so many ways. We weren't too sure about it at first but the more the idea was talked about the more we knew it was what we were suppose to do. I won't go into much detail but things just work out the way they are suppose to. My kids are thrilled to be living close to their grandparents. The older my kids get, the more great influences in their lives they need. I am truly grateful for this chance. We will be building a house and that is super exciting to us. Luke's job remains exactly the same and so does mine:) So this Christmas has been crazy! We are moving the day after Christmas so you can imagine how busy we have been. We have pretty much everything packed up except Christmas.

Since this post lots has happened. We have moved and are trying to get situated. Finding a place for everything just takes time. We had a wonderful Christmas. The older 3 all got Nintendo DS'. Santa must have thought they were pretty good this year. They have all been such great helpers in this move. I haven't yet down loaded Christmas pictures, that will have to wait. But I had a few on here from before.

Lately Kooper has been giving Kali alot of extra attention.
He loves to hold her and she doesn't mind at all.

Kenzi continues playing in the snow.

She loves her new beanie that I made for her.

I just thought this picture was funny. Kali loves Luke and lights up whenever he walks in the room. She is totally chilled out on him. (Kenzi snapped this picture)I know I've said this before but Kyron is an amazing big brother. He will play and entertain Kooper anytime. Kooper was exhausted this day and had snuggled up to Kyron. They both fell fast asleep. Kyron is so great with little kids and is just a natural. It is fun to see him take care of Kooper and Kali. He just knows what to do with them. He is really sweet and gives up anything for Koop. Since I have totally been slacking I will finish with an entertaining story. Of course it is about Kooper. Since my last post about him sticking objects up his nose, he has managed to stick a few more up there. I have somehow gotten everything out. He even put a button up his nose Christmas morning but the day after Christmas he wasn't so lucky. He found a red button somewhere and stuck it waaaaay up his nose. We tried everything, and I mean everything to get it out. During his nap he snored SO loud. His nose was pretty stuffy anyway but he was having to walk around with his tongue stuck out just so he could breath. He didn't complain about it much. He told me right after he did it and was in the process of sticking another one up the other side. He obviously didn't learn from the other 5 times I had to fight to get the other objects out. After 9 hours of waiting and trying I finally had to take him to the Emergency Room. It was the saddest thing. It was so far up there that the Doctor couldn't see it. He said, "are you sure he stuck something up there"? I said, "yes, it is a big red button." They had to find a long awkward tool to fish out the HUGE red button. They wrapped him his a sheet and it took 3 of them to hold him down. It was really sad. They finally got it. It was so big! I don't know how he could even get it up there. The Dr. said, "it is as big as his nose!" It literally was. I am not sure what I am going to do with this little monster. He is such a bad boy! He had everyone in the ER just thinking he was the cutest thing. They all loved him. He was so friendly to everyone and told them Thank you! One nurse just kissed him and gave him 2 baggies full of toys! What in the world? Now he is going to think he gets a treat for sticking things up his nose. Well, lets hope not. It has been 5 days and he hasn't stuck anything up his nose, yet!

Even if he is a bad boy, he is a lovable one at that. We are constantly laughing at this child. He also loves his new hat that I made him. He would play outside in the snow all day if he could.

Snow days

This is what we woke up to yesterday!
It snowed all day and all night.
The kids haven't had school the last two days because of it!
We are suppose to get even more tonight.
If we do then school will be canceled again tomorrow.
The sun hasn't been out at all, so it just keeps getting deeper and deeper!
The kids are loving it!

What better way to end the last few days of school before Christmas break but to not have any school at all! When I was little I remember listning to the radio in the mornings to see if school was going to be canceled after a big snow storm. It didn't happen to often, but when it did we loved it!

What in the world??

Seriously. I can't catch a break with him! What was he thinking?

Random

This last week Kyron and Kason both got Character Counts Awards during an assembly. I am very proud of both of them. It is so funny to me that they both got one on the same day. What are the chances? Their teachers both had great things to say about them. Makes me proud:)

Kali looks way too little to be in her bumbo, but she rather enjoys it...ALOT!All I have to say about this picture of Kooper's hair is WOW!
This is what it looks like every morning and after naps.

Pac-Man

For Kyron's birthday back in August, Uncle Tim got him a frog! My kids love Uncle Tim because he gets them things that I won't. Pac-Man eats just about anything. When it was warm outside Kyron would just go get grasshoppers, crickets or worms for him. Now that it is cold outside and there are no living little creatures to be found anywhere, I have to buy him little creatures! I just think it is silly! But the kids all really enjoy him. Kooper gets Kyron's stool and pulls it over to where Pac-Man is and checks him out. We hardly ever see him move and he only eats when it is dark and quiet. Sometimes in the middle of the night Luke and i can hear him croaking...a little creepy, I know.
We are glad that he is still alive and that he is very low maintenance.

gingerbread house

We attempted to make a gingerbread house for FHE. What a fun mess it was! The kids all took a side and went to town with the decorations. Kooper ate more than he put on the little thing. The kids had a great time and even helped clean up. We had a great lesson on the true meaning of Christmas. We talked about all the different symbols and what they all represent. I feel more and more blessed every year when Christmas comes around. I am so thankful for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice. Because of him, I have my beautiful family.

thankyouwelcome

Luke and I tend to be pretty strict about our kids and their manners. I don't know how they always act in public, but we are trying to teach them at home. Hopefully it will rub off and they will continue using their best manners forever wherever they are. Anyway, Kooper might be the biggest monster we have had yet but he is a polite one. He always says thank you for everything. Even when it isn't necessary. Lately he has been giving us all a laugh. Whenever we give him food, a drink, a hug, a treat, turn on a movie for him or whatever it may be (you get the point) he says thankyouwelcome. I guess he has heard us say your welcome enough after each thank you. Now he thinks he needs to say it all at once and in one breath. It is so cute. I am glad he is at least a nice grateful stinker!

So short

Kenzi has been dying to get her hair cut...short! I always hope that she is going to forget and not ask again but she never does. So finally over Thanksgiving she cut off ALOT! It might not look like too much but it was touching the top of her pants. So she thinks it is so short! She runs down the hall moving her head from side to side and she looks in the mirror every chance she gets to see how short it really is. I don't know why I don't want her to cut it off. I suppose it is because I would be sad. I just love her long hair and it is so easy for me to fix. I can't fix short hair very cute. I know it is still really long...but to her (and me) it is short! This morning before school I told her to turn around so I could get a picture of how short her hair was and Kooper had to copy her and get in the picture too! He was in the middle of one of his many baths that he will have today.

Lots of thanks

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I guess I enjoyed it so much that I didn't take ONE picture. We spent Thanksgiving with my parents. It was such a quiet one. Daniel, Chelsee and Camdyn were there too. I am so thankful for lots of things. Where do I begin??
*Luke *sweet kids *health * siblings *roof over my head* a car that fits us all *Luke's great job *great parents and in-laws * a camera to catch priceless moments *messes *friends * laughter * testimony * books and scriptures
* school *clothes * yummy food *excitement *gospel * most importantly being a Mom to 5 little stinkers and a wife to a wonderful husband. That is what I am most thankful for. I am so thankful that I get to do what I love everyday!

But there is ONE thing that I am NOT so thankful for, and that is that Kooper can get IN and OUT of his crib all by himself. I have been planning on leaving him in there until I absolutely had to take him out. Him sleeping all night and taking good naps is one of the things I used to be SO grateful for! He used to take a 3 hour nap everyday and all though the only way to put him to bed at night was to lock him in his crib, he would fight it a little but eventually he would just crash. Well now he thinks it is so funny that he can get in and out by himself. It doesn't help that the other kids laugh at him when he does it. Last night he was up until 10:30! I just was not looking forward to this day. So on the bright side, I guess I should be grateful that he has two strong legs that allow him to get in and out of his crib. I am thankful for his laugh, as he thinks he is so clever. I am thankful for the pitter patter of his feet as he tries to run away from me! I am thankful that he is a healthy and happy 2 year old. I am thankful for his sweet little voice. I am thankful that he is all MINE!
